The Staff at Aspen Mortuaries are now offering the families we serve an After Care program. The program is designed to help the survivors work through their individual grief. We offer informative literature on the many differnet situations; Loss of a spouse, Loss of a child, Suicide, etc. This information will help identify some feelings and thoughts you may experience.

~Aspen Library~

Our library is an excellent source of information. Although the information we send you is helpful, our library is filled with informative books written by knowledgeable authors on grief. We encourage all our families to browse our library. You will even find great books for children who will also need good information on understanding their grief.

~Plant-A-Tree~

Aspen Mortuaries wants to honor the deceased and their families by making a contribution to the United States Forest Service’s “Plant-A-Tree” program. The contribution helps refurbish the forests affected by fire or other destruction in Colorado We will donate a tree for each deceased individual. A certificate will be sent to the next of kin with the loved ones name printed on it. We hope this will bring comfort to their families.

~Support groups~

We can provide our families with a list of local support groups within the Metro Area. Most churches, hospitals and hospices have some type of support network within their institution. Support groups offer the opportunity to share our feelings and listen to others. This process can help survivors acknowledge their fears, anguish, and sorrow and give them the tools to move forward with their lives.

~Special Days~

There are special days during the first year of mourning. We acknowledge these days by remembering the deceased in a special way. We celebrate Memorial Day and Christmas by having a service in our chapels to keep the loved ones in our hearts and thoughts. The anniversary of ones death is also a very special day. We offer our continued dedication and services to our families.
