The goods and funeral services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our services. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you select.
SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND STAFF: Our fee for the services of funeral director and staff includes, but is not limited to, staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family or responsible party; arrangement of funeral; preparation and filing of necessary authorizations and permits; recording vital statistics; preparation and placement of obituary notices; staff assistance prior to, during and following the funeral, including coordination with those providing other portions of the funeral, e.g. funeral homes, cemetery, crematory and others. This fee for our services is already included in our packaged selections, and range from $400 to $1,050.
Embalming is not required by law.
Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as funeral services with viewing. If you do not want embalming you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. We have a one-time charge and do not charge for additional items such as: dressing, cosmetizing, hairdressing, and casketing.
Funeral Ceremony at Aspen Memorial Chapel or other facility, with transportation to gravesite. This service includes: Professional Services of Funeral Director and staff; transportation of the deceased from place of death within the Denver metro area to one of our Aspen Mortuary funeral homes; preparations to include embalming, dressing, cosmetics, hairdressing, and casketing; visitation 1 hour prior to service, arranging and conducting ceremony at location of your choice; Casket Coach and Committal Service at cemetery within the Denver Metro area.
